In a monumental project, Praxis Factor joined forces with Tethys Group and T Constructions to overhaul the IT infrastructure of Odera Tinos by Marriott. This initiative aimed to modernize the hotel’s communication, security, and technological systems, ensuring the property is equipped to provide seamless, high-quality services to its guests. Project Overview
Clients: Tethys Group / T Constructions Location: Odera Tinos by Marriott Scope: Comprehensive IT infrastructure overhaul, focusing on modernizing technological systems to enhance guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and security.
Project Objectives
The primary goals of the project were:
- Deliver Cutting-Edge IT Infrastructure: Ensuring the hotel could provide fast, reliable, and seamless services through modernized technological systems.
- Robust Security: Implementing comprehensive security systems to guarantee the safety of guests and staff.
- Enhanced Guest Experience: Introducing advanced telecom and smart room solutions to provide an elevated, modern guest experience.
Our Approach
Praxis Factor tackled this complex project in multiple phases, ensuring every aspect of the hotel’s IT and security systems was covered.
Phase 1: Planning & Design
- ICT Study: Conducted an extensive study to map out the hotel’s technological needs.
- Strategic IT Planning: Developed a scalable, high-performance IT network that would serve the hotel’s current and future needs.
- Comprehensive Budgeting & Project Management: Managed the project’s timeline and costs efficiently while ensuring high-quality implementation.
- ISP Connectivity: Established a stable connection to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to ensure uninterrupted internet services.
Phase 2: High-Tech Installations
- Fiber-Optic Networking: Installed fiber-optic cabling for high-speed internet connectivity throughout the property.
- Access Control Systems: Implemented advanced access control, fireproof doors, and wet chemical systems to enhance safety.
- Building Management Systems (BMS) and KNX Automation: Integrated BMS and automation systems for seamless operation of lifts, slide doors, and other critical infrastructure.
- Security Systems: Integrated IP-based CCTV, IP PBX phone systems, and IP TV Chromecasting for comprehensive security and enhanced guest entertainment.
Phase 3: Advanced Telecom and Networking Solutions
- Dedicated Computer Room & Server: Set up a secure, centralized hub for IT operations, ensuring reliable management of the hotel’s technological infrastructure.
- Backbone Network Infrastructure: Installed a robust backbone network to support all communication systems, including Wi-Fi access points and sound systems.
- Smart Room and Guest Experience Enhancements: Deployed smart room technology, including door locks, phones, and IP CCTV, ensuring a modern, connected guest experience.
- GSM Signal Booster: Installed GSM signal boosters to improve mobile reception within the property.

The project resulted in several key achievements, positioning Odera Tinos by Marriott as a technologically advanced hospitality destination.
