Project Overview
Atlantis Yacht, a private super-yacht based in Monaco’s Hercules Marina and operated by a Greek family office as their main residence, has been a client of Praxis Factor since 2003. The ongoing project aims to enhance the internal and external communication systems, ensuring seamless connectivity both onboard and with the family office while at sea. Additionally, the project focuses on optimizing supply chain management and ensuring safety through advanced communication technologies.
Project Objectives
The key objectives of this project were:
- Internal Communication Across Different Storeys: To ensure reliable and efficient communication within the yacht.
- Communication with the Family Office Whilst on Sail: To maintain continuous connectivity with the family office based in Greece.
- Supply Chain Management: To streamline and optimize the supply chain processes.
- Voice Transmission Firewalling Components: To secure voice communication systems against potential threats.
- Line-of-Sight On-Board Signal Distribution Equipment: To facilitate effective signal distribution throughout the yacht.
- Communication Testing Application (Whilst on Sail): To test and ensure the reliability of communication systems during sailing.
- Mainland Connectivity Contingency Lines: To provide backup connectivity options.
- Call Recording for Safety Reasons: To implement call recording for monitoring and safety purposes.
Our Approach
To achieve these objectives, Praxis Factor adopted a systematic and phased approach:
Planning and Design: Conducted a thorough analysis of the yacht’s communication needs and designed a customized solution to address the unique challenges of internal communication across different storeys and external communication with the family office.
Technology Selection: Selected advanced voice transmission firewalling components to secure communications, and state-of-the-art line-of-sight signal distribution equipment to ensure seamless signal coverage onboard.
Installation and Configuration: Expertly installed and configured the selected technologies, including the communication testing application to monitor system performance during sailing and mainland connectivity contingency lines for backup.
Training and Support: Provided comprehensive training to the yacht’s crew on the new systems and offered ongoing support to address any issues promptly.
